Header Tethers

Postby poissant » Sat Jan 25, 2014 1:02 pm

Didn't know this was a NHRA rule change for this year. Don't think thus will affect us locally unless we end up hitting the divisional race here. I don't disagree with the idea seen more than one collector fly off before. But what I disagree with is the price they are selling these for $135 with my racer discount at JEGS, for 4 clamps and 2 connecting rods....really???? I could see $50 but $135???? WOW

You can get an economical set from Jok at trailertoad for $59 and I believe free shipping.

Problem with the cheaper ones($59) I think at least for me is that there are not stainless. With humidity we have down here in La. I think I'll have to go with a stainless pair.

Same clamps and cable, just have capped ends instead of the fancy stainless eyelets.

We have our collectors welded on so no tethers are needed. A less expensive option to consider.

I could not agree more. Unless you have chrome or coated headers already.
