If you are one of the unfortunate ones to break the ear off your 33mm trying to get the pin out there is now a fix. The kit consist of the billet
repair part , Oring and the longer screws needed. $32.50

Cool, I never saw one of those before.

....lots of good 33mms out there with broken float ears, that will be happy to see this.

I was thinking of this device this past weekend. I was cleaning a 33 for someone and when i was pulling the pin i though, it sure would be nice to have one of those float adapters Steve made. Just in case.
I deserve respect for the things that i DO NOT do.

Has anyone used one of these yet? Does it effect the carb settings
seems like it would it is modifying the size of the bowl
also do both ears have to be removed to install? looks like it

Both arms do have to be removed. You will also lose the pump.

nice way to fix.i had kim at brandx fix a 33 for me a few years ago and he made new posts that pressed in.worked great. with this puttn the post on shim and there shorter posts than origanal this would be way stronger and no pullin float pin to clean needle and seat. smiley-dance
