Don lost his son today.
He was at his Oncologist office at the KU Cancer Center and went into cardiac arrest all efforts to revive him were fruitless.

Shelby was kicking cancers *** but still lost the battle.

Tentative services will be Saturday March 2nd

I was taken aback when I read the news. I only got to meet Shelby once when we bought their Jr. He was a fine young man. My family's prayers goes out to Don and Jean and the entire family. ....

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. While we knew there was not a cure for his type of Cancer we were trying to buy some time for him to complete his bucket list. After his surgery in Oct he was getting better, gaining weight and strength etc.Three weeks ago his marker numbers started to rise.Had his first week of Chemo on Feb 11th.Appetite was great,he was working out etc.Starting Tuesday night he started feeling bad due to the Chemo.Thursday morning he said he was done and didn't want to go to his follow up appt.I told him he was probably needing fluids and some nutrition and to humour me and go.Got to the cancer center, checked in and he went into cardiac arrest. No idea why he did. They made a valiant effort to revive him to no avail. He fought his *** off.Never once bitched, moaned or complained.I will be fulfilling his bucket list.I owe him that.
