What is the difference between the max jet and a holley jet?
Are the holley jet a gas jet or alcohol jet ?
Is there a conversion chart for max/holley/mikuni jets ?

We ran mikuini jets up until a few years back. I ended up with a motor that a 240 mikuini (biggest I could find without drilling out ones) was not enough fuel. At that time I switched to Max jets. I was told that max jets had more sizes in between thus finer tuning. As for alky or gas jets it is just all in the size of the hole, thus alky needing more fuel, bigger hole. If you hear of someone running a 94 holley it is the same holley you could run in a 750 carb on a street car on gas. I was going to go to holley for the fact I could buy them at our local speed shop. I started talking around and it seemed most guys have gone to the max jets in our area so I went that way. I figured that if I needed a jet I did not have I could bum it off someone at the track. They are a "gas" jet. Alcohol jets are a larger diameter thread.
The MAX jets are available up to I believe 140? The difference between a MAX jet and conventional Holley jet besides one is a hex, and the other round with a slot is the sizes are the same size as the numerical number they are stamped. A MAX jet stamped 110 is .110, a 126 is .126 where a Holley jet stamped 100 is really .1285, and a 110 is .1560.

53 = (.052") 54 = (.053") 55 = (.054") 56 = (.055") 57 = (.056") 58 = (.057")
59 = (.058") 60 = (.060") 61 = (.060") 62 = (.061") 63 = (.062") 64 = (.064")

Holley marks their jets by what it flows, max jets are marked with what diameter they are. I think mikuni jets are marked by what it flows.
