First off I forgot to post the PTP for the race at Maple Grove and I apologize been abit busy around here.Drs pretty much told us there was nothing they could do for our son.Had him using a drug to control the growth of the inoperable benign mass that he has.Got to researching things and Stanford University pioneered a surgical process that we thought might help. More research had us finding out about Indiana University Cancer center in Indianapolis. So he and I drove up there last month and the Oncologist agreed with KU that there was nothing from an Oncology standpoint they could do.They did present there findings to their Surgery team. Two weeks ago one of the Surgeons called and said they felt confident that they could do surgery and remove everything. We got it schedules for Oct 15th.It will involve three different surgeons and will be abit risky. He just wants it out.7-10 hospital stay and 2-3 months and hopeful of a full recovery. He will lose his Pancreas and most of his small intestine. It will make him Diabetic but we can deal with that.We will still have to keep an eye on the benign spots on his lung andget rid of the blood clot that's still in his lung.We also are hopeful they will remove the clot filter they installed back in February.Hes gone 7 weeks without throwing up and his appetite is coming back.Foods he couldn't eat in April he can now eat.The support from our family, friends etc has been amazing. One day we well get back to normal.Whatever that is.LOL-CM
